It's been a quiet couple of years. I needed a break and photography just wasn't doing it for me. I sold my Volkswagens, most of my camera gear, and what felt like my soul. Currently I have my old Fuji X-Pro1 and a single lens. My driveway has tumbleweeds blowing across it since I got rid of my split buses and rally car. All thats there is a Subaru Forester (albeit a pretty cool one).
Anyway 2020 is fast approaching and I'm feeling a lot better after a nice rest.
Car photography still isn't a huge inspiration. Editorial features bore me a bit. I still love anything dirt related (rally, off road) and historics or hot rodding gets me pretty excited. I've been really enjoying doing minimal landscape work. New challenges for the mind.
I've been redesigning the website so it has room for past photo galleries. My hard drives have years of event photos dating back to the early 2000's and it's a shame to see them gathering dust.
Over the next month or two I'm transferring all my old event photos and blog posts from my previous website, and a whole heap of new ones over to this page. Please be patient as it takes a LONG time to update 15 years worth of data and rearrange it to make any sense.
So for the coming period I'll be chilling with some landscape work, and getting squarer eyes from sitting at this computer. I've still kept my CAMS accreditation so whenever I can find some dirt sports and time off I'll head bush with the motordrive switched to high. Think I'll start thinking of another VW down the track too. Campervan this time, ratty and built for overlanding. VW split or early bay, off road tyres and a bed and fridge. Bliss.
