About Me

High school was the pivotal time in my life that introduced me to the world of photography. Although I was quite average academically, I found a remarkable sense of achievement through the lens of a camera, which ignited my passion for this art form.

A particularly significant moment in my journey occurred in 1997 when my cousin Andrew showcased his skills by building a show-quality Holden Gemini. He asked me to photograph this stunning vehicle and sent the slides to a car magazine, which expressed interest in my work and ultimately offered me a freelance job. This unexpected opportunity opened the door to numerous years of professional experience working for various magazines and newspapers within the automotive field.

Another key moment that shaped my career happened in 2003 when V8 Supercar photographer Mark Horsburgh supplied me credentials to help cover the V8 Supercar racing at Barbagallo Raceway. This experience kick-started a passion for motorsport photography.

Over the years, I had the privilege of working alongside and learning from skilled and talented photographers, Richard Gale, & Helmut Mueller. Diligently honing skills at Gale Force Studios during the weekdays while dedicating my weekends to capturing the dynamic action of rally cars and race circuits. Today, I find myself enjoying a semi-retired life, occasionally shooting editorial motoring assignments or working on personal photography projects.
